Teaching

  • The Mathematics Placement Tests, 2014-2015

The purpose of the Mathematics Placement Tests is to make sure that you are prepared to take a Quantitative Inquiry Mathematics or Computer Science course at Chapman University.

  • Chapman University MathCS Moodle Server

"Moodle is a course management system (CMS) - a free, Open Source software package designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create effective online learning communities." This is Moodle system version 2.6+, customized for Chapman University. Please click on the link above to see the current course list.

  • WeBWorK at Chapman University

  • WeBWorK is an online system for delivering individualized homework problems over the web. This is WeBWorK system version 2.7+ customized for Chapman University. For more on the WeBWorK Project, read the WeBWorK Home Page.

Research

  • The MathCS Seminar pages

  • Titles and Abstracts of upcoming and past MathCS Seminars are collected here.

  • Mathematical Structures Homepage

  • The webpages collected here list information about classes of mathematical structures. The aim is to have a central place to check what properties are known about these structures.

  • The Center of Excellence in Computation, Algebra and Topology

  • The mission of the Center of Excellence in Computation, Algebra and Topology (CECAT) is to provide a forum for world class interdisciplinary research where computation meets algebra, topology and related mathematical fields.

  • The Center of Excellence in Complex and Hypercomplex Analysis

  • A group of mathematicians and physicists from the School of Computational Sciences at Chapman University joined some of their national and international collaborators to form this Center of Excellence. The research conducted under the center's umbrella is mainly motivated by the latest results in Clifford and Hypercomplex Analysis and endeavors to find new ways in which this research can be applied in mathematics and physics.

Extra Curricular Activities

  • The Math Club and Problem solving sessions

These pages are for the Chapman University Mathematics Club. A group of Chapman students and Mathematics faculty get together once a week for an hour to discuss interesting mathematics problems and puzzles. In related Problem solving sessions we also do some training for the prestigious Putnam Mathematics Competition.

  • Math Posters

Posters that you can easily print and use in your math classes.
