Business/reorganization meeting

Minutes of the WebSIGMAA Business Meeting. January 6, 2009
Twenty-five people were in attendance. The meeting was run by Doug Ensley, SIGMAA Chair.
- The changes to the charter were approved. This item will be forwarded to Amy Shell-Gellasch.
- Members were urged to share personal/favorite URLs on the SIGMAA web site as a first step to organizing some common interests and supporting activities. The following URL will serve this purpose:
- Discussion of future events and activities was very productive. Those present decided to try to organize a series of online seminars on several introductory topics, including "Setting up a Moodle course" and "Getting Started with Geogebra." We will tap the expertise of the membership to find presenters (offering a small honorarium) to run these 1-2 hour web seminars. Philip Yasskin and Jason Aubrey were mentioned as possible "local hosts" for the server software requirements. The logistics for scheduling will be worked out by the Executive Committee. All comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
